Community Guidelines

Subtitle

Respect the Top10.life community

We're not asking for the kind of respect reserved for nuns, the elderly, and brain surgeons. Just don't abuse the site. Every cool, new community feature on Top10.life involves a certain level of trust. We trust you to be responsible, and millions of users respect that trust. Please be one of them.

Don't cross the line

Here are some common-sense rules that'll help you steer clear of trouble. Please take these rules seriously and take them to heart. Don't try to look for loopholes or try to lawyer your way around the guidelines—just understand them and try to respect the spirit in which they were created.

  • Nudity or sexual content
Top10.life is not for pornography or sexually explicit content. If this describes your content, even if it's a content of yourself, don't post it on Top10.life. Also, be advised that we work closely with law enforcement and we report child exploitation.

  • What is and isn’t allowed
Sexually explicit content like pornography is not allowed. Contents containing fetish content will be removed or age-restricted depending on the severity of the act in question. In most cases, violent, graphic, or humiliating fetishes are not allowed to be shown on Top10.life. A content that contains nudity or other sexual content may be allowed if the primary purpose is educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic, and it isn’t gratuitously graphic. For example, a documentary on breast cancer would be appropriate, but posting clips out of context from the same documentary might not be. Remember that providing context in the title and description will help us and your viewers determine the primary purpose of the content.

  • Age-restricted content
In cases where content do not cross the line, but still contain sexual content, we may apply an age-restriction so that only viewers over a certain age can view the content. Contents containing nudity or dramatized sexual conduct may be age-restricted when the context is appropriately educational, documentary, scientific or artistic. Contents featuring individuals in minimal or revealing clothing may also be age-restricted if they're intended to be sexually provocative, but don't show explicit content.

  • Reporting nudity and sexual content:
You may report contents that you believe violate this policy, or may not be appropriate for all ages by contact us at our customer support.

Harmful or dangerous content

Don't post contents that encourage others to do things that might cause them to get badly hurt, especially kids. Contents showing such harmful or dangerous acts may get age-restricted or removed depending on their severity.

While it might not seem fair to say you can’t show something because of what viewers might do in response, we draw the line at contents that intends to incite violence or encourage dangerous or illegal activities that have an inherent risk of serious physical harm or death.

Contents that we consider to encourage dangerous or illegal activities include instructional bomb making, choking games, hard drug use, or other acts where serious injury may result. Content that depicts dangerous acts may be allowed if the primary purpose is educational, documentary, scientific, or artistic (EDSA), and it isn’t gratuitously graphic. For example, a news piece on the dangers of choking games would be appropriate, but posting clips out of context from the same documentary might not be.

Contents that incite others to commit acts of violence are strictly prohibited from Top10.life. If your content asks others to commit an act of violence or threatens people with serious acts of violence, it will be removed from the site.

We are very sensitive to any harmful or dangerous content that involves minors. If your content shows a minor participating in a harmful or dangerous activity, do not post it. In the interest of protecting minors, we may age-restrict contents containing adults participating in activities that have a high risk of injury or death.

Violent or graphic content

It's not okay to post violent or gory content that's primarily intended to be shocking, sensational, or disrespectful. If posting graphic content in a news or documentary context, please be mindful to provide enough information to help people understand what's going on in the content. Don't encourage others to commit specific acts of violence.

Copyright

Respect copyright. Only upload contents that you made or that you're authorized to use. This means don't upload contents you didn't make, or use content in your contents that someone else owns the copyright to, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted programs, or videos made by other users, without necessary authorizations.

Hateful content

Our products are platforms for free expression. But we don't support content that promotes or condones violence against individuals or groups based on race or ethnic origin, religion, disability, gender, age, nationality, veteran status, or sexual orientation/gender identity, or whose primary purpose is inciting hatred on the basis of these core characteristics. This can be a delicate balancing act, but if the primary purpose is to attack a protected group, the content crosses the line.

Threats

Things like predatory behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, intimidation, invading privacy, revealing other people's personal information, and inciting others to commit violent acts or to violate the Terms of Use are taken very seriously. Anyone caught doing these things may be permanently banned from Top10.life.

Spam, misleading metadata, and scams

Everyone hates spam. Don't create misleading descriptions, tags, titles, or thumbnails in order to increase views. It's not okay to post large amounts of untargeted, unwanted or repetitive content, including comments and private messages.

  • Spam, deceptive practices, and scams
We are constantly working to keep Top10.life free of spam, scams and other deceptive practices that attempt to take advantage of the Top10.life community. Below you can learn in more detail what constitutes a violation of these policies.

  • Content and comment spam
It's not okay to post large amounts of untargeted, unwanted, or repetitive content in videos, comments, private messages, or other places on the site. If the main purpose of your content is to drive people off of Top10.life and onto another site, it will likely violate our spam policies.

  • Artificial traffic spam
Anything that artificially increases the number of views, likes, comments, or other metric either through the use of automatic systems or by serving up contents to unsuspecting viewers, is against our terms. Contents and accounts that are found to be in violation of our terms may be closed down and removed from Top10.life. If you are going to hire someone to help promote your content, it should be someone you absolutely trust, as you may be putting the fate of your channel (and your business on Top10.life) in their hands. If they are using methods that violate our terms of service, you may be the one to pay the bigger price, as it will be your contents and channel that get taken down.

  • Misleading metadata
Metadata refers to any and all additional information provided on a content. This includes the title, description, tags, annotations, and thumbnail. The reason we have metadata is so that you can add additional contextual information to your contents. Please do not use these features to game or trick our search algorithms. All metadata should be representative of the content. Among other things, metadata added in an attempt to game search algorithms will lead to the removal of your content and a strike against your account. Please select a reasonable number of tags that most closely reflect your content. Please also only add tags to the tag section of your metadata. Adding additional tags to the description of your content may constitute spam and can result in the removal of your content.

  • Misleading or racy thumbnails
Please select the thumbnail that best represents your content. Selecting a sexually provocative thumbnail may result in the removal of your thumbnail or the age-restriction of your content. The thumbnail is the title card that will be shown next to your content across the site and should be appropriate for all ages. If you are uploading a parody, review or vlog, please choose appropriately representative metadata that will not confuse users into believing that your content is something it is not. This is especially important to remember in relation to current events or viral videos. Please select a thumbnail and title that clearly illustrate that your content is commentary and not footage from an actual event. Contents that are deemed deceptive will be removed from the site and strikes may be issued to the uploader.

  • Scams
Some users create content which attempts to trick others for their own financial gain. Content that deliberately tries to mislead users for financial gain may be removed, and in some cases strikes may be issued to the uploader. Please be wary of claims that seem too good to be true, as they likely are.

  • Blackmail or extortion
Top10.life has a zero-tolerance policy for extortion and/or blackmail. If someone has recorded a sexually exploitative video of you and has sent the link, please flag this content immediately for removal and contact your local law enforcement.

We review your reports carefully

You might not like everything you see on Top10.life. Some of the content might offend you. If you think it's inappropriate, submit it for review by our Top10.life staff.

Our staff reviews flagged contents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to determine whether they violate our Community Guidelines. When they do, we remove them. Sometimes a content doesn't violate our guidelines, but might not be appropriate for everyone. These contents may get age-restricted. Accounts are penalized for Community Guidelines violations, and serious or repeated violations can lead to account termination. If an account is terminated, that person won't be allowed to create any new accounts.
